Mia Pritts, Founder & Principal Consultant
Mia has dedicated over 25 years to Early Care and Education (ECE), gaining extensive expertise in child care operations, business strategy, partnership development, and provider support. With 12+ years working directly in center- and home-based programs, followed by nearly 14 years of leadership roles at Early Learning Ventures and Wonderschool, she has helped develop, test, and scale tools and services for child care providers.
Mia has played a key role in launching statewide and national initiatives, including employer-sponsored child care, shared services models, and technology platforms that strengthen the ECE sector. As an early childhood consultant for the past several years, Mia collaborates with diverse clients including Opportunities Exchange and the National Association for Family Child Care, organizations launching new child care programs, and a variety of other groups. Her experience spans nonprofit and funding organizations, regulatory agencies, policy and advocacy work, and data analysis. Since 2021, she has served as an Advisory Board member for the Psychology and Child Development Department at California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo.
Passionate about stabilizing and elevating the child care industry, Mia champions home-based care as a vital solution to the ongoing child care crisis. She excels at bridging the gap between providers, policymakers, and business leaders to drive meaningful progress in the field. Mia holds a BS in Family and Community Services and Early Childhood Education from Michigan State University and an MA in Educational Psychology with an Educational Assessment focus from the University of Colorado at Denver. Outside of work Mia enjoys adventures with her two elementary-aged children and husband, being outside as much as possible, and volunteering within her home community.
